“Our organization is The Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society. We help children born with a chromosome 18 condition overcome the challenges they face so they can lead happy and healthy lives. We have a family conference each year so that parents can learn more about their children’s condition from medical and education professionals and also network and learn from other parents. Parents and family members come to learn all they can to better support their child. It is so important that while the sessions and presentations are going on, parents know their children are well cared for and happy. Years ago when our group was much smaller we were able to operate childcare with volunteers. This was always a huge undertaking. Trying to find consistent and qualified volunteers for a three day period was always a challenge. As we have grown as an organization and as as our conferences have grown, we knew we had to take childcare to the next level. We had to address the concerns of liability as well as ensuring that all of our kids, the very reason we were having a conference, were having a great conference experience like their parents were. We have used Corporate Kids Events at our conference now for about six years. Now the kids are excited to hear about their conference program and what Corporate Kids has in store for them each year. They are happy going to the CKE program each day and they are happy when their parents pick them up.
