The Sturge Weber Foundation has partnered with Corporate Kids Events for over 10 years. Our conferences are in many instances the first time families from around the world get to meet others like themselves. Many of our parents are afraid to let the children go to kids camp. CKE has always made sure each family not only feels comfortable during their time but also goes above and beyond. Our kids can be kids and meet others like themselves. Our parents can take part in the meeting and know their children are safe and they will get a call if they are needed.

CKE is a true blessing. Everyone we have worked with have been nothing short of professional and friendly. The training they do is spot on, the activities are creative and when you need that nap or down time that too is flawlessly taken care of each and every time. By the time it is time to leave everyone including the CKE staff are hugging and giving high fives. The smiles are the best part. We have used CKE for many years for our 3 day event. I always try to book for the following year before we leave on the last day of our event because they are just that good! The Directors are always professional and staff are great with the kids. Come with planned activities that keep the kids happy and active, and are flexible if you want to bring in some of your own activities as well. From contract, planning, to execution, CKE is a fabulous company to work with!

We partnered with CKE to provide childcare for our first family conference. Simply, it was one of the best decisions we made. Our families rarely feel comfortable leaving their special needs children with other caregivers, and the professionalism, kindness and enthusiasm of CKE’s team put our parents at ease and allowed them to really take in the conference content without worrying about their children. In addition, the children themselves, had an absolute blast. Many could not wait to go back to “Camp CACNA1A” during the breaks, and they made life-long friendships with siblings and other affected children.

These programs have had up to 450 children at one meeting, ages 3 months to 17 years old. We are a special needs group and working with a company who understands and trains its staff about the intricacies involved with our group is key! “Our organization is The Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society. We help children born with a chromosome 18 condition overcome the challenges they face so they can lead happy and healthy lives. We have a family conference each year so that parents can learn more about their children’s condition from medical and education professionals and also network and learn from other parents. Parents and family members come to learn all they can to better support their child. It is so important that while the sessions and presentations are going on, parents know their children are well cared for and happy. Years ago when our group was much smaller we were able to operate childcare with volunteers. This was always a huge undertaking. Trying to find consistent and qualified volunteers for a three day period was always a challenge. As we have grown as an organization and as as our conferences have grown, we knew we had to take childcare to the next level. We had to address the concerns of liability as well as ensuring that all of our kids, the very reason we were having a conference, were having a great conference experience like their parents were. We have used Corporate Kids Events at our conference now for about six years. Now the kids are excited to hear about their conference program and what Corporate Kids has in store for them each year.
