How Corporate Kids Events Came To Be
CKE was Co-Founded by Garen and Susan Gouveia in 1999. Prior to starting CKE Garen organized summer camps, was a youth programs coordinator for a city recreation department, a daycare center director for a hospital, a substitute school teacher, a certified team builder and a father.
In addition to organizing camps from her early teens, Susan had managed her own babysitting service, owned a jewelry design company, organized children’s art and Spanish language workshops for many years and was of course a mother. Their combined passion for kids, education, art and recreation enabled them to create a business that provides a childcare solution to parents, meeting planners and businesses around the world.
Today, Corporate Kids Events provides childcare for over 250 events a year all over the country and beyond. Although Susan retired from the business several years ago, Garen continues to own and oversee CKE daily operations. Over time, Garen has brought in teachers, special needs educators, camp administrators, and other childcare professionals to help manage and run this growing business.
CKE now has regional Program Managers, that are located in every region of the USA, ready to travel and manage our programs wherever they occur. Our clients include Fortune 500 companies, all branches of the US Military, and some of the nation’s largest non-profits and special needs organizations, not to mention hundreds of other businesses, organizations, clubs, associations, and individuals.
